Among postcards: the dreamy Carioca landscape

Located among Rio de Janeiro's main landmarks and overlooking the Christ the Redeemer statue, Sugarloaf Mountain, Flamengo Park, and Guanabara Bay, we discovered a place that blends the carioca dream with a sophisticated and full of personality outdoor experience. The view is breathtaking, and the design is pure inspiration.

This spectacular penthouse is located in one of the most traditional and noble neighborhoods of Rio de Janeiro, Flamengo Beach. The location was carefully chosen for its proximity to the sea, the city center, and the generous spaces it offered. The original apartment was completely renovated to accommodate the family and combines modernity, versatility, and elegance.

The project was developed by architect Andrea Menezes, who has a great connection with the owners. Much of the couple's personality and much of their history are printed in the details, from wall ornaments to the colors and materials chosen. The landscaping was done by Fernando Acylino, who made sure to recreate a piece of the Atlantic forest in one of the terrace panels.

The terrace, in particular, is a highlight as it is where the family, who loves to entertain friends for good barbecues and outdoor gatherings, have plenty of space and comfort. There, the round Pyramid Table with Boss Chairs is the support point for meals, making the view even more incredible. And to give a fun and relaxed touch to the environment, the Painho Swing, designed by Marcelo Rosenbaum and Fetiche Design, is a perfect option.

A large and comfortable outdoor living room is the chosen space for entertaining friends and family. The highlights were the Quéchua armchairs and the Pucon sofa, forming an elegant and comfortable set with the Spool and Marina coffee tables and the Rio and Octa side tables. And to define the space, nothing better than a perfect outdoor rug made of nautical rope.

The pool area features the Malibu sun loungers and Float cushions, which delight children and adults and provide a delightful environment for those who want to relax and enjoy the sun in style. Baskets and lanterns provide practical beauty.

The furniture follows a “carioca style”, as they are known for their hospitality, and strongly value common living areas. The gourmet area received the stylish Fusion table and bench, designed by Maria Cândida Machado, completed with Boss chairs. What a way to enjoy the incredible view! Next to the barbecue counter, the Bali Spaghetti Stools accommodate more guests.
