Tidelli and the highlights of contemporary design shine at ICFF in New York

The ICFF - International Contemporary Furniture Fair took place last week in the midst of one of the world's main economic and tourism regions. From May 21 to 23, this expo brought together the largest names in the décor, furniture, and hospitality industries, displaying the most current furniture designs in North America at the Jacob K. Javits Convention Center in New York.

We were there at Apex Brasil and Abimovel's invitation, being represented by famous designers and their wonderful products that fascinate with their utility, beauty, and exclusivity. Among them were Matteo Cibic, Manuel Bandeira, Luciano Mandelli, Sami Hayek, Marcelo Rosenbaum, and Fetiche Design, as well as Solana Marianelli, who not only stood out with her work but also served as our outstanding "correspondent," providing all of the event's details.

We invite you to join us on a journey through the corridors of ICFF, getting to know the designers and their works, staying updated on what happened in the Brazilian Furniture sector of ICFF.

MATTEO CIBIC, considered one of the great talents of contemporary Italian and global design. His talent and knowledge have a genetic influence, as he interned with none other than his uncle Aldo Cibic, a renowned professional with a strong presence in the 1980s, who partnered with Ettore Sottsass to found the Memphis movement. He recently launched the Vimare Collection, inspired by "Vibrazioni Di Mare," an exquisite showcase of cabinets and rugs created from insights gained during Matteo Cibic's trip to Salvador da Bahia. The warm sun, shimmering sea reflections, and attention to detail in Brazilian marble cabinets are captured in this collection.

MANUEL BANDEIRA, a graduate specialist from the Milan Academy, brings the Pão de Açúcar chair to ICFF and often comments, "People often say: it looks like Pão de Açúcar. This illustrates my creative process because it is where the design emerges and ends up having the face of my work because it reflects my story. I often say that design has life; it takes shape during the creation process, and that is interesting."

LUCIANO MANDELLI, is a product designer with great inspirations that generate best-selling products due to his innovative and creative solutions. Luciano Mandelli has been leading the industrial management and product development at Tidelli for over 22 years. In addition to designing some of the brand's most iconic collections, he created the Quéchua, Organika, Pucon, and Tulum collections, the latter in partnership with Tatiana Mandelli.

SOLANA MARIANELLI, an architect and urban planner, that has been gaining strength and prominence in the product design market as well, developing signature lines in partnership with major national companies. The Carmel line, created especially for Tidelli, emerged from a mix of original ideas that combine modernity and the artisanal creative process, resulting in pieces that express the architect's, urban planner's, and influencer's originality, trendiness, and style of creation.

SAMI HAYEK, a Mexican designer, brings in his work the essence of promoting experiences for those who enjoy them. His vibrant and minimalist style is proof of this statement. Sami Hayek has traveled the world to promote his work, drawing inspiration from the colors, textures, and emotions of his country. In 2021, the designer arrives at Tidelli by revisiting his own origins, daring to mix materials such as aluminum, wood, and ribbon cord. Hayek was inspired by the Mexican state of Veracruz to develop his line, which includes a modular sofa, room divider, coffee table, dining table, lounge chair, and chair, combining multifaceted references from his country with the precise forms that give identity to his style.

MARCELO ROSENBAUM, an architect and product designer, is one of the most prolific professionals in Brazil. In 2014, a successful partnership between Rosenbaum and O Fetiche Design, by Carolina Armellini and Paulo Biacchi, resulted in the creation of the iconic Painho Tidelli collection. The pieces from the collection are an absolute success and can be found in the most beautiful projects and homes of thousands of Brazilians.

We participated in this event, showcasing iconic pieces from our brand. The initiative was carried out by the Brazilian Furniture Sector Project, promoted by ABIMOVEL and APEX Brasil, with the support of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs.

With the expertise of these talented professionals, we are shaping a unique furniture concept that transcends borders and meets all demands, regardless of nationality. Here, we find the perfect balance between comfort, versatility, and beauty.

This is how we continue to build our history, leaving our mark on memorable events that attract audiences from all around the world. After all, we firmly believe that if it's not fun, creative, and of exceptional quality, it's not sustainable.
