Tidelli at the Maison Bleue Moderne

Modernism Week 2022 is back

The biggest midcentury architecture and design event in the world is happening in Palm Springs, CA until Feb 27th 2022.

The biggest and highly devoted event of midcentury architecture and design in the world is back to Southern California, in sunny Palm Springs. The 11-day festival made its return stronger than ever.

Modernism Week 2022 features more than 350 events including the Palm Springs Modernism Show & Sale, tours of iconic homes in more than 30 neighborhoods, and the popular Signature Home Tour on both weekends.

The event and organization celebrate and foster appreciation of midcentury architecture and design, as well as contemporary thinking in these fields, by encouraging education, preservation and sustainable modern living as represented in the greater Palm Springs area.

Tidelli is a sponsor of the event for many years and can be found in two different places, Maison Bleue Moderne and The CAMP, until Feb 27th, when the event officially ends

La Maison Bleue Moderne is the ideal vacation getaway home for any city dweller seeking relaxation or to throw a posh retro pool party with a small group of buddies. But no matter how you want to take advantage of it, Maison Bleue Moderne screams Palm Springs-chic.

The backyard was entirely furnished by Brazilian high-end outdoor furniture company Tidelli, with their resistant nautical rope and exclusive colors - giving all spaces a cohesive feel with its bright turquoise and pink. The 4 distinctive sets al-fresco invites guests to enjoy the best of midcentury architecture.

The lounge area is composted by Tidelli Sedona sofa and Sedona swivel lounge chairs framed by Tidelli’s nautical rope rug and a pit fire - perfect for an informal conversation during the desert cold nights. For the warmer days, the double chase with a pair of umbrelas, set the tone for a tanning day in the pool. The weather resistant and easy to clean dinning table with its Walnut wood pattern tabletop contrast with the turquoise Director’s chair.

The four-bedroom, four-bath, 2,400-square-foot Alexander Company home designed by William Krisel and produced in 1958 is one of the featured homes for Modernism Week. Situated below the San Gorgonio Mountains, this house has mid-century modern signatures such as combining indoor and outdoor living, a gabled roof and clerestory window.

The home was revised by Michelle Boudreau Design in Palm Springs and presents the new owners’ distinctive tone and affection for travel and sailing. The blue textiles applied to bedroom headboards, chair cushions, backsplashes and tile in many parts of the home are in appreciation of the oceans.
