Penthouse in Gávea | Project by Hana Lerner

Architect combines natural beauty and tidelli furniture in a unique project

With a paradisiacal backdrop, the Penthouse in Gávea faces the Rodrigo de Freitas Lagoon and overlooks the Christ the Redeemer statue in Rio de Janeiro.

When she was asked to develop the project for the decoration of the outdoor area, the architect Hana Lerner Rosalen was inspired by the "bossa carioca" and the needs of the client – a businessman – to create a space where he could receive family and friends, put his culinary skills into practice, relax and even work. “He loves cooking and entertaining, so there needed to be plenty of room to sit, like a large living room, but outdoors”, she explains.

To give life to a comfortable and functional ambience, the professional bet on a Fusion sofa, designed by Maria Cândida Machado, Marina lounge chairs and ottoman, as well as a Slim large dining table with a porcelain top in composition with Giardino chairs. "The sofa is a very generous size and the dining table is incredible, with eight seats, produced with a material that can be exposed to both the sun and the rain."

The architect invested in a colour palette with different shades of blue that, according to her, dialogues well with the carioca mood, harmonizes with the sky and nature and contrasts with the green of the pool. “I also brought orange as a colour point, which is a feature I like to have in my projects”.

Working with the concept of integration, the balcony became an extension of the interior of the Penthouse, where the suite is located. “It's a space that can be used day and night, taking full advantage of it. It brings a laid-back style and, at the same time, sophisticated”, she evaluates.

To complement the project, the architect distributed Marina and Biarritz coffee tables, Octa side tables, Floating pillows in the pool, in addition to accessories such as the Kona vase, Java bar cart, baskets and lanterns throughout the space. “I've worked with Tidelli on other projects and it's always very cool. The brand has high-quality furniture and comfort. Another important point is that they offer a wide range of colours, which allows me to create exclusive projects, even if I sometimes opt for the same model of furniture. And this is a great Tidelli differential”, she concludes.
